THE LIFE OF MUHAMMAD (S) introduces the Makkan period of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (S) the final Messenger of Allah (S) and the greatest human being to walk on the face of the earth. In these talks, Imam Anwar alAwlaki, author of the best selling series - The Lives of the Prophets, eloquently presents the Makkan , period of the Prophet's life in a detailed manner, deriving valuable lessons from it and thus making it relevant to our modern times. This series is primarily based on Ibn Kathir's book on the Sirah.
Imam Awlaki brings to life stories from the golden era of Islam in a dynastic style and instills in the listeners a deep lore for the Beloved of Allah (S). Imam Anwar al-Awlaki was born in New Mexico, USA. His parents are from Yemen where he lived for eleven years and received the early part of his Islamic education. Imam Anwar al Awlaki has served as an Imam in Colorado, California and Washington DC. Currently he resides in Yemen.

Imam Anwar Al-Awlaki - A brief biography

Imam Anwar Al Awlaki was born and raised in New Mexico, USA. He obtained BS in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, MA in Education Leadership from San Diego State University and is currently doing a PhD in Human Resource Development at George Washington University.

He is the author of a series of Audio lectures on the "Lives of the Prophets", covering the stories of the Prophets from Adam to Jesus (PBUT) of which over 20,000 copies have been published. The series is drawn from Imam Ibn Kathir's "Al-Bidayah wa An-Nihayah".

He is currently involved in the ongoing study of Shariah in Yemen. His shuyukh include prominent scholars in Yemen.

Imam Anwar al-Awlaki's audio lectures are not new to Muslims in the West. His lecture series on foundational topics in Islam such as Day of Judgment, Lives of the Prophets, alayhemus salam. Currently, he is focusing on producing a detailed account of the life of the Last Messenger of Allah, Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam. These series of lectures are invaluable source of well-presented and inspiring authentic Islamic education. Imam Anwar's style is scholarly yet accessible to lay Muslims, and particularly attractive to the Muslim youth.

The first part of this series has been compiled into a sixteen CDs collection, in which he covers the Makkan life of the Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam with characteristically clear, interesting storytelling well-supported by evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah.

This series which is primarily based on Ibn Katheer's book on the Seerah, thoroughly cover the Makkan period. After some necessary introduction, definition and historical background, each CD covers, in vivid details, a specific stage of the Seerah thus facilitating search and reference of a considerable amount of information.
