To use just point the arrow (North) towards the code # for your location. The Minar will point to the Qiblah direction.

If one is unsure about the direction of the Ka'bah, then you are entitled to purchase or get anything that would help you out. I would definately approve this for any Muslim, wheather in Mecca or China.

not that great of a product. It is hard to hold in your hand and get a good reading. The instructions say put on a flat surface and tap the top a few times so it aligns right. I would suggesting finding a better product. It may be beneficial if you travel a lot and aren't near a masjid and don't know what the degrees of longitude is for that city.
